How it all started
In 2015 we decided to have a jam night and invited a few friends. The number rose as people asked if they could come too. We built a stage in the garden out of an old industrial poly tunnel and bought an old PA and lights. Friends helped with building and refurb of equipment and a venue appeared. A couple of bands heard about it and offered to play.
Over 100 friends and family came along and loved it. Lots of people wanted to contribute something and we decided to do a whip-round for Air Ambulance. We raised £329. Following the ‘jam night’ we were asked if we were doing another and Castlewood Rocks idea was formed.
Now we approach our official 5th birthday in 2020, 500 gorgeous people attend and together we have raised over £11,000 for charity.
Absolutely none of this would have been possible without the incredible people who support Castlewood Rocks every year by volunteering, attending, sponsoring, lending, listening, photographing, filming, performing, making dragons, clearing, set-up, cleaning..... the list goes on You Guys Rock!
